A Food Revolution: Robyn O'Brien's Classroom

The reason I am passionate about food advocacy is because I myself had a debilitating illness for nearly a year.  When I finally discovered that a food allergy to milk products was at the heart of causing my infirmity, I began to delve into discovering as much as I could
regarding the foods I was ingesting. This interest in how my diet was affecting me personally began to take a life of its is own, launching me on a continuing investigation on the business of agriculture.

As my burgeoning thirst for knowledge increased, I came across an informative TED Talk with Robyn O'Brien as the guest speaker.  This self-proclaimed 'unlikely crusader for cleaning up the food supply' who was raised on 'twinkies and poor boy sandwiches' aroused my curiosity even further as I watched her insightful speech on the links between allergies and our food and the causes of these toxic allergens in our country.

As an inspirational speaker and author of The Unhealthy Truth: How Our Food Is Making Us Sick and What We Can Do About It, she makes for a powerful teacher. Needless to say, I highly recommend stepping into her eighteen minute classroom to learn more about the health and well-being of all our families.
